Basant Jhumki

Basant is the Hindi word for spring, that season when colour returns to the world without apology, and these jhumki arrive in exactly that spirit. A square Jadau stud top clusters round zirconia stones around a single teal cabochon, its surface dense and luminous. Below it, a full dome jhumka body carries alternating round zirconia and oval pastel cabochons in pink, teal and yellow, each stone embedded directly into the gilded matrix in the ancient Jadau tradition, pressed into place the way spring presses colour back into the earth after a long winter. From the base, a fringe of pastel beads in pink, yellow, mint, teal and white hangs freely, each one a different note in the same joyful season, swaying together like a garden that has just remembered how to bloom.
