Vahini Drops

Vahini in Sanskrit means a flowing stream, water that moves not because it is pushed but because flowing is simply what it does. These earcuffs carry that quality entirely. An open gilded hoop in the traditional Kashmiri Dejhoor form sits against the ear, its arc clean and unadorned save for a single bezel-set zirconia that catches light like a drop of water catching sun. From the hoop, multiple fine gilded chains descend at graduated lengths, each one strung with clusters of gilded spherical ghungroo beads at intervals that grow denser toward the base. The effect is exactly Vahini, a stream breaking into smaller streams, each finding its own path downward, unhurried and completely certain of where it is going.
