Mahtab, the Persian-Urdu word for moonlight, lends this collier its soul. A continuous garland of open pavé scroll units, each cradling a prong-set oval zirconia of exceptional clarity, sweeps across the neckline in unbroken silver radiance. The scrollwork loops and curls around each stone like moonlight bending around the edges of a cloud, luminous and unhurried. The collier is strung on a fine silver rope with a filigree bead closure and pearl-tipped tassel finials, a detail as considered as everything else about this piece.Raqs in Urdu means dance, and the Mahtab Raqs earrings earn that name with every movement. A pavé circle stud forms the top, clean and precise as a full moon. Below it, three open pavé arcs curl outward around a single large oval zirconia, their scroll loops turning and lifting like arms raised mid-dance, catching silver light from every angle and releasing it just as freely.
